Malwina was born in Poland in 1996. Her theatre arts journey began in 2014 when she joined the Youth Theatre Elipsa first founded in North West Poland. This opportunity gave her a lot of connections with artists and theatre companies from places all around Europe. She has been involved in various plays, festivals and theatre-related social events in e.g. Spain, Italy and Poland

Towards the end of 2015 she moved to London to study BA Theatre Arts course at Middlesex University to expand her interest in bio-mechanics. Throughout the undergraduate programme, she has been exploring varied elements of theatre-making with the special focus on acting and physical theatre.

Malwina, as a movement director, performer and a personal trainer is constantly taking part in established projects and courses to further her development. Aside from the university productions, she took part in several workshops and projects with well-known theatre companies such as Company Chameleon (e.g. Illuminate), National Theatre (e.g. Summer Space to Create) and Nuffield Health & Les Mills (GRIT Championship Games 2018). Malwina’s practice is recognised for her commitment, discipline and originality.

Malwina completed a Movement Directing and Teaching masters degree at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Her movement directing practice is known for its minimalist approach, where she reduces all unnecessary distractions and focuses purely on the relationship between the performer and the audience. Most of her performances have challenged the audience through active participation (elimination of the 4th wall). Her expertise has been based on the knowledge of anatomy and human science, where the performer is trained to be in full control of their body in detail. Her performances are always considerate of the environment, reflecting on on-going political issues, educating communities and revealing what values matter the most.

As a bio-mechanics practitioner, she constantly works with multidisciplinary professionals and non-professionals. She is always interested in participating in new, challenging workshops, performances, as well as social talks and debates, where she can utilise and expand her skills.

Some of Malwina’s experience as a movement director and teacher include working at Drama Studio London, LAMDA, East 15 Acting School, Pleasance Theatre, Harrow Arts Centre, Garden Suburb Theatre, West Way Performing Arts School, National Theatre Speak Up and Herts Inclusive Theatre.
